| Aristocrat celebrates debut year in Spain with FERInterazar launch and Madrid licence |
|
Making their first industry appearance on stand C22 at the Madrid show will be two new Type B/B+ games, Queen of the Nile™ and Dolphin Treasure™. The new models, which will also be displayed on the stands of a number of regional distributors, including Egasa (Valencia), Grupo Vid (Andalucia) and Comdibal2000 (Catalonia), will feature alongside Aristocrat games already being operated in Spain, Jailbird™ and Big Red™. The company is also celebrating its successful application to supply games to the densely populated Madrid region, adding to the licenses already held for Valencia, Andalucia, Aragon and Catalonia. The timing of this achievement coincides with the recent announcement of legislative changes for the jurisdiction, a significant element of which permits the operation of videoslots – a technology first pioneered by Aristocrat in 1987 and an area in which the company has gained more than two decades of proven expertise. Daniel Lindsay, Aristocrat Europe’s General Manager – Sales & Marketing, commented: “We are pleased with the results achieved during our first year in the Spanish street market. Our two new games for 2009/10 have been developed using the feedback and player reactions to the first batch of models released over the past 12 months and we are confident that their performance will reflect a fastgrowing understanding of player needs in this highly competitive market.” He added: “Aristocrat has an extensive library of proven games, many of which have been top performers on gaming floors around the world. The level of success we have achieved so far in adapting some of our most popular games to suit Iberian lowstake playing characteristics is extremely encouraging and we look forward to continued expansion in this market.”
