Approved changes to Regulations on Gaming Machines in Extremadura

The Spanish Autonomous Community of Extremadura will have a new regulation on gaming machines and arcades and leisure centers. It was approved on May 29 by the Governing Council of the region.

The objective of this Regulations is, firstly, the need to adapt the current rules to the constant change due to technological innovations, the emergence of new games, and new business reality, and, secondly, to advisability of simplification of administrative procedures to regulate the arcades and leisure centers, the need to have an own regulation of the gaming industry in line with the rest of the Spanish autonomous regions.

The specific regulation of the gaming industry represents itself to have a rule that attempts to reconcile the concerns of the sector with the guidelines that should make the administration of the Autonomous Region in terms of ensuring that social and other interests of any kind that are affected by the problems inherent to the game, explained the Regional Executive in press release.
